
Overview
This programme gives participants a grounding in the core practices of Organisational Development and Design, and strategic HR.
The focus is on practice at a local level and understanding how to effectively support change processes. This can be from the position of internal partners or external consultants.
Topics covered include consulting practice, use of self, organisational culture and change, facilitating group dynamics and designing and evaluating interventions.
In line with Roffey Park’s approach to organisational change, there is a strong emphasis on practical learning from experience and application of concepts into participants work life.

Exploring how organisations respond to challenge and transformation, and how change unfolds in real systems. Developing a grounded understanding of organisational dynamics, culture and context to inform effective OD and HR practice.
Working with Self as a Change Enabler
Building awareness of how your values, assumptions and behaviours shape your impact. Practising the use of self in consulting and change roles to position yourself with greater clarity, confidence and authenticity.
Consulting and Contracting with Intention
Strengthening your capability to enter, contract and work with clients and stakeholders effectively. Practising the consulting cycle and supportive helper role to diagnose issues, frame interventions and manage expectations.
Designing and Facilitating OD Interventions
Developing practical skill in designing, facilitating and evaluating interventions across OD, ODes and strategic HR. Working with group dynamics, learning processes and
Working with Culture and Organisational Dynamics
Exploring how culture, power and patterns influence behaviour and outcomes. Building confidence to surface difficult issues and support leaders through complex people and system challenges.
Throughout the programme, learning is experiential and reflective, combining case work, group facilitation, peer dialogue and application to participants’ own organisational contexts.

This programme combines the best of virtual and face-to-face learning to create a flexible and impactful development experience. You’ll begin with virtual sessions that introduce key concepts and frameworks, allowing you to reflect on your leadership context from your own workspace.
These are followed by immersive residential modules at the venue, where you’ll engage in deeper practice, peer learning and collaborative problem-solving. This blended approach enables you to build knowledge progressively, apply insights between sessions, and benefit from both the convenience of online learning and the richness of in-person connection.
