This report summarises the findings from the first part of a research project with Director magazine. It attempts to define what people mean by organisational politics; how, when, where and by whom office politics is used and the impact it has on individual and organisational performance. The research recommends strategies for surviving in a political landscape. The research was developed from a series of focus groups and a survey of 120 managers.
