Nothing is intractable. Learning to thrive while leading in uncertainty

Programme details

9 - 13 October

The world is getting smaller every day, but issues can seem larger and more complex and, at times, it can feel like the chaos is bigger than you are. What you need are powerful (but simple) solutions. Based on chaos and complexity theory, Human Systems Dynamics (HSD) helps you recognise the unpredictable, emergent environments of today’s social and economic systems. HSD gives you models for understanding your world and methods to enable you to act and change it.

If you are in the business of making change, resolving conflict or helping teams and individuals work more effectively – HSD certification is a simple, but powerful approach that will enable you to take informed action that delivers results.

Working in partnership,  Human Systems Dynamics Institute, Roffey Park are offering the rare opportunity to work with Glenda Eoyang, founder of the field of HSD, in the UK.

Join us in face-to-face and online learning

The HSD Professional Certification provides:

  • Four months of face-to-face and online learning
  • Direct interaction with Glenda Eoyang, PhD
  • A vibrant, online learning ecology of live webinars, forums, resources, dialogues, and social media
  • The opportunity to create change as you blend state-of-the-art HSD theory with your own on-the-ground, real-world practice
  • Collaboration with your learning group and your HSD-Certified Praxis Partner as you build your own unique approach

On completing the programme, you will:

  • Solve your most wicked problems
  • Encourage meaningful dialogue, work across silos and build stronger teams
  • Facilitate change more effectively and neutralise organisational dysfunction
  • Understand how to foster and implement a culture of change and innovation
  • Deal with uncertainty more effectively
  • Adapt and innovate to solve your most difficult challenges of leadership, collaboration, learning, planning and change management

As a certified HSD professional, you will also receive life-time membership in the HSD Associate Network.

Taught by Dr Glenda Eoyang, this programme will prepare you to solve your own most wicked issues of leadership, collaboration, learning, planning, and managing change; work across difference inside and beyond your organisation; and deal effectively with uncertainty.

Who is the programme for?

HSD Certification is aimed at anyone with the responsibility of leading change, such as:

  • Chief Executives
  • HR Professionals
  • Organisational Change agents
  • Consultants
  • OD practitioners

“One of the things I love about HSD is that it gives people a pattern language. The simple techniques that you use to address patterns in complex adaptive systems – that stuff people get.”

Sam Grant, Faculty Program Director, Environmental Sustainability Program, City of Minneapolis

“It gave me some tools and methods to start explaining things that I knew at a gut level were not right. It’s made it easier to connect with the senior execs that I work with.”

Brenda Fake, author of “What works for GE May not work for you.”
