
Adrian Lock BSc (Hons), DipTM, DipCoach, MCIPD, CertMed Senior Consultant
On graduating from Durham University, Adrian worked for charities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East before gaining experience in UK central and local government management and training. During this time he developed an organisational standard known as 'Investors in Equality' which featured in two national journals. Adrian developed his own freelance portfolio before joining Roffey Park, and has carried out more than 25 reviews of people management strategies in organisations of 50-1200 employees, working with clients across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. He is passionate about helping organisations bring out the best from their people. Adrian’s areas of expertise include executive coaching (up to and including chief executive level), personal effectiveness, change management, strategic leadership, diversity management, performance management, team development and coaching skills. He has qualifications in Organisational Assessment, Training Management, Executive Coaching, Counselling and Workplace Mediation. He co-leads Roffey’s Diversity & Equality Group and is Programme Director for Mastering Self-Management. 
Alex Swarbrick MPhil (Econ), BSc, FCIPD Senior Consultant
Alex is an experienced manager, consultant, facilitator and executive coach, combining a strong background in HR with leadership development. Before joining Roffey Park, Alex ran his own consultancy and coaching practice working both in the UK and internationally. His previous roles were Head of HR for The Work Foundation, personnel director for an international development agency in Nepal and a number of HR roles in the BBC. He is passionate about helping individuals and organisations become even more effective, and has particular interests in culture and in relational leadership. A business graduate with an MPhil from London School of Economics in organisation design and skill use, he is also a qualified executive coach, holds a practitioner’s certificate in Personal Construct Psychology, and an Advanced Diploma in Intercultural Management from Cambridge University. 
Alok Singh MA, BSc Development Consultant
Alok is a process consultant and facilitator, with a strong background in change projects focussed on corporate responsibility and the delivery of social services. Before joining Roffey Park, Alok played a leading role in change projects with organisations across all sectors including Microsoft, Cadbury-Schweppes, Breast Cancer Care, Greenpeace, the BBC, DEFRA, and Southwark Council. Convening diverse stakeholders and resolving the complex problems they face were common features of these projects. Based on this work, Alok has gained experience in working with a wide range of facilitation techniques and processes, including: World Café, Open Space Technology, Appreciative Inquiry, and the U-Process. Alok holds a BSc from Warwick Business School and an MA in Participation, Development and Social Change from the Institute of Development Studies. 
Andy Firth BA (Hons), PGDip, NVQ4 Senior Consultant
Andy has nine years’ experience working with leaders and staff from board to frontline in public and private sector organisations. His work encompasses a wide range of people development, including consultancy, training, coaching and facilitation and at Roffey Park he is Director of the Practical Facilitation Skills programme. He has been extensively involved in a number of assessment/development centre and 360° feedback projects, as well as supervising student coaches studying for a diploma. Andy holds an NVQ4 in executive coaching and a PGDip in customer management. Before joining Roffey Park he spent several years honing his skills at one of Britain’s leading small consultancies. His background is in hospitality, as an acquisitions manager for a brewery and a manager in a busy bar in London’s West End. Helping people to be more effective through their becoming more responsible for their own situation is a particular passion for Andy.

Andy Smith MA, BA, Cert Gestalt Director of Qualifications
Andy has 20 years experience as a developer, consultant and manager. His work has spanned small and large organisations, the private and public sectors, policy development and operations. Andy is Programme Director for Roffey Park's MSc in People and Organisational Development and the Interpersonal Relationships in Organisations programme. He is also a member of the tutor teams for The Art of Facilitation and OD Practitioner Programmes. His most recent research focused on the world of virtual management. A Master Practitioner of NLP, a Diploma in Systems Thinking and real interests in Gestalt, group dynamics and change in complex systems all inform Andy’s practice. 
Caroline Stearman MA(Cantab), MSc Development Consultant
Caroline’s breadth of experience working across a wide range of sectors has influenced her interest in organisational culture, team and individual effectiveness. Having worked in Exxonmobil, Amnesty International, Tearfund and English Heritage in a range of roles from functional management, project management through to people development and internal consultancy, Caroline has developed a varied portfolio of skills. Her particular focus is upon group facilitation, management and leadership development. Caroline has designed and delivered a breadth of management programmes, and has recently completed her Masters research project exploring key factors influencing the learning and development of senior managers. She has experience of facilitating action learning and both strategic planning and team building interventions. 
David Cleeton-Watkins MSc, BSc, FCIPD Senior Consultant
David is a business psychologist and development specialist. His portfolio includes the design, implementation, and evaluation of large and small scale assignments that include leadership development, assessment and development centres, change management, coaching and mentoring, career counselling, and personal profiling. Most recently he has worked and researched in the key areas of human interaction - leadership, performance management, influence, personal impact, and culture change. David has wide experience of assessment for selection, and his skills as a psychometrician have stimulated his work in designing a range of assessment tools. He is Programme Director for Delivering Strategy and Change and an active personal coach and mentor.

David Lines PhD, PGCEA, DipHumPsych Senior Consultant
David is an experienced organisational developer who has worked on numerous projects with organisations undergoing major cultural and structural change. He is also a researcher and his doctoral thesis examined the career paths of executive directors and the personal and professional strategies used to attain this role. He began his career in the NHS, moved into higher education and has since worked at all levels in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors including pharmaceutical, financial services, utilities and telecommunications industries. His personal interests are in the areas of leadership development, executive director development, talent management, professional and personal development, career progression and succession in organisations. 
Gary Miles MA (Oxon), FCIPD Head of Open Programmes and Events
Gary has over 20 years experience of working in commercial organisations, both as an HR practitioner and business manager, such as Unilever and Reed Business Publishing. At the Kingfisher Retail Group, he obtained a National Training Award for the strategic contribution of learning and development as well as IIP accreditation. Since joining Roffey Park he has been involved in a number of major client projects spanning private, public and not for profit sectors and focussing on HR and senior management development, leadership, talent management and executive coaching. He is programme director of Strategic Human Resources and HR Business Partnering as well as Director of Associate Relations, responsible for the recruitment and development of Roffey Park's associate team. His current clients are drawn from higher education, local government, manufacturing, oil, and IT sectors. Gary has also served as a local government councillor and been an active member of the CIPD. 
Helena Clayton MA, CertCoun, MCIPD Director of Business Development
Helena's areas of interest and expertise include leadership development, managing and developing talent, career management, personal effectiveness and 1:1 coaching. Helena has a keen interest in learning and over the last 10 years her work has focused on helping individuals and organisations get the best from each other through learning and development. Her current areas of research include how organisations need to respond to the challenges of Generation Y, and how individuals and organisations can find meaning in their work.

Helena Green BA (Hons), PGDip, MCIPD Development Consultant
Helena brings over ten years international experience in the leadership development, talent and organisational development field working across a wide range of industry sectors and all levels, from frontline to executive. She began her career in HR and has a breadth of experience gained with BP, Cadbury Schweppes and HSBC. This included establishing and leading a successful learning and organisational development practice for BP’s global functions. Her deeper work interests include developing and coaching the leaders of today and tomorrow to lead with authenticity and courage, and to deliver remarkable and sustainable results. She holds a longstanding interest in diversity & inclusion, is accredited in a wide range of psychometric instruments and is working towards an MA in coaching. 
James Traeger BA (Hons), PGDip Senior Consultant
James has 18 years experience in human and organisational development. His varied career includes winning a fringe-first award as a theatre producer at the Edinburgh Festival, as general manager of one of Europe’s leading commercial photo agencies, and as the co-developer of the Navigator Programme, the only international men’s development programme to be run in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He won acclaim for his work on the Metropolitan Police’s ‘gender agenda’, and is a member of the prestigious Centre for Action Research in Professional Practice at the University of Bath. He specialises in leadership with due attention and sensitivity to organisational and global diversity. James is the Programme Director for the Art of Facilitation programme and the Post Graduate Diploma in Facilitation. 
Jo Hennessy MA (Oxon), MSc, CPsychol Director of Research and Product Development
Jo oversees a broad spectrum of research enquiries and has a personal involvement in Roffey Park's research programme exploring enlightenment at work. She graduated from Oxford with a degree in Experimental Psychology and also has an MSc in Occupational Psychology. Jo specialises in the design and facilitation of executive development programmes in the areas of leadership and change. She was previously a partner at Human Qualities where she worked across business sectors both in the UK and internationally. Prior to that, Jo headed up Executive Development for Penna and, at Brathay, she managed the team of learning and development consultants, with personal involvement in team facilitation and process consultancy. Jo’s early career was with SHL where she gained experience in managing large-scale assessment/development centre interventions. Jo was Dean of the Association of Business Psychologists 2005 Conference entitled, "Psychology at the Heart of Business" and she has been published on various topics. 
Margi Gordon MSc, BA, AMCIPD Head of Bespoke Services
Margi is particularly interested in effective leadership and management in organisations and she works closely with clients to design and deliver in-house development programmes. She believes leaders make a key contribution to organisational culture and performance, by making work meaningful and enjoyable. She is the programme director for the Strategic Leadership Programme and she has clients in the oil industry, IT services, local and national government, manufacturing, transport, leasing, banking and financial services. She is interested in evaluating the impact of leadership development on individuals and throughout organisations. Margi has a BA in Education and an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck, University of London. 
Martin Saville MA (Oxon), MBA Senior Consultant
Martin is Director of Roffey Park’s Organisational Development Practitioner's Programme. He has worked with clients in sectors ranging from finance and insurance to health, local government and higher education, providing consultancy and developing bespoke programmes in the areas of organisational development (OD), personal effectiveness, leadership and management. Before joining Roffey Park in 2005, Martin was Director of Strategic Planning and Operations at London Business School. He combines a strong background in leadership and management with specific expertise in organisational development and change. An experienced facilitator, Martin has worked with top teams and boards, and is also well versed in the design and delivery of ‘whole system’ interventions.

Nick Buttle MSc, BSc (Hons) Senior Consultant
Nick is an organisational psychologist and has worked for the past 10 years on a range of large and small projects in the areas of leadership development, team building, management development, change management, communications, individual and organisational resilience, personal development and coaching. He is Programme Director for Essential Skills for Management and before joining Roffey Park, he worked in financial, retail and IT sectors in locations within the EMEA and the United States. Nick also spent two years in the oil and gas industry in Saudi Arabia. Nick is licensed to administer a number of psychometric instruments including the MBTI and the 16PF. He is a member of the British Psychological Society and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire. 
Peter Hamill MSc, BSc (Hons), PG CertCoun Senior Consultant
Peter is a consultant, facilitator and coach with an international background in leadership and organisational development. He has designed, developed and run leadership development programmes with local government, national government, and the NHS, as well as with private sector organisations such as KPMG, ABN Amro, Pfizer and PwC. He is passionate about the development of individuals to fulfil both personal and organisational objectives. He has trained in Gestalt counselling and is certified as a Somatic Coach, by the Strozzi Institute and has completed an MSc in Change Agent Skills and Strategies at the University of Surrey. 
Rachel Saebi MSc, CMS Senior Consultant
Rachel has eighteen years experience of working in the motor, financial services, corporate travel and hospitality industries in various roles ranging from business consultant to heading up the learning and development function. She has also worked as an independent consultant. Her principal areas of expertise lie in leadership, management, personal development, assessment and development centres, one-to-one coaching, facilitation and the use and application of psychometric tools particularly with leaders. She has an interest in large-scale interventions, such as Open Space and Appreciative Inquiry and a passion to see individuals become the best they want to be. Rachel is licensed to administer a range of psychometric tools and is on the register for competent psychological testers with the British Psychological Society.

Sabine Stritch BSc, MCIPD, Dip Training & Development Senior Consultant
Sabine is a qualified coach and has a particular interest and expertise in facilitation skills, personal effectiveness and development, train the trainer and assessment/development centres. She has worked internationally as a consultant, coach and trainer, within both service industries and public utilities and was instrumental in introducing a new model of Personality and Communication into the UK. Recent client work has included developing and project managing a leadership development programme for a large consultancy, managing a change programme for a large insurance company, and facilitating groups from operational to board level. She is the Director of the Realising Leadership Potential programme. 
Sharon Brockway MSc, BSc (Hons) Principal Consultant
Sharon is an experienced occupational psychologist who has a background in assessment and development, with specific interests in personality, coaching and leadership. Her experience spans diverse sectors, from engineering, facilities management, IT and accountancy to the public sector. As a psychologist she has a strong background in the application and interpretation of psychometrics and the effects of personality on behaviour, particularly for leaders. Prior to joining Roffey Park, she worked as an editor and in public relations. This background led to her interest in organisations and their effectiveness, which she consolidated through her Masters degree in Organisational and Occupational Psychology. Sharon is the programme director for Personal Effectiveness & Power and Core Consultancy Skills. Steve Tarpey MA, DipPM, ACIB, MCIPD
Steve is responsible for Roffey Park’s bespoke development and consultancy services. He has worked with a range of organisations across public, private and not-for-profit sectors . He has extensive experience in delivering programmes for UK, pan-European and global management audiences. Steve holds professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Personnel and Development, together with a Masters Degree in Management Learning from Lancaster University. He is certified in the use of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP Master Practitioner) and Transactional Analysis, and is accredited to use instruments such as Myers-Briggs (MBTI Step 1 and Step 2) and FIRO B.

Sue Belgrave BA (Hons), DipFRCD Senior Consultant
Sue started out working for a housing cooperative in Toxteth moving from there into the NHS and health education before becoming a programme maker for Granada Television. She then joined The Body Shop International where she held a variety of senior management roles before becoming General Manager for Company Culture , a unique role in which Sue held a wide range of personal and organisational development responsibilities. Sue then set up her own consultancy, joining Roffey Park as an Associate and then full time. Her expertise ranges from executive coaching to large group interventions. She has a passionate commitment to building sustainable business practices and to using the arts whenever possible.

Sue Binks MSc, BSc Senior Consultant
Sue is an occupational psychologist whose main areas of focus are learning design, personal effectiveness and change. She has worked with a wide range of organisations from large government bodies, global professional services firms and investment banks to niche marketing consultancies and manufacturing organisations. Her work has included behaviour and attitude change programmes, coaching, development centre design; advanced communication and influencing skills and design of high potential leadership programmes. Sue also has a keen interest in research, particularly the impact of culture and climate on motivation and commitment.

Sylvia Baumgartner MSc, APMP Principal Consultant
Sylvia has 15 years international experience of working in people and organisational development from various managerial and consulting roles in the retail and manufacturing, financial services, education and engineering industries and across both private and public sectors organisations. Her principal expertise lies in organisational development, leadership and management development, cultural change, facilitation, executive coaching, project management and competency based performance. Sylvia has gained an MSc in People and Organisational Development is the course director for Roffey Park's MSc cohort. She also holds a Diploma in Consultation and Group Facilitation, a Diploma in Management and Leadership Principles and Practices and has certification in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. Sylvia is also an accredited project manager.
