Facilities Manager

Roffey Park is an internationally renowned leadership institute based in the UK and Singapore, providing executive education and research to many of the world’s leading organisations. Our Head Office in West Sussex is used as our venue for programmes, events and qualifications. It is also a venue of excellence for conferences, training and private events. It has 60 residential bedrooms, restaurant, bar and 20 training rooms. It is set in 40 acres of rural grounds between Horsham, Crawley and Haywards Heath

Our Facilities Manager is responsible for keeping our Head Office running and well presented at all times. This is a management role responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, safety and security of our site for all the visitors, clients and staff that use it.

We’re looking for one of those unique individuals who is as happy to get hands-on with the practical tasks involved in running a site like Roffey Park, as they are to plan, manage and lead a team. They need to be pedantic with record keeping, documentation and safety systems as well as be open minded, flexible and able to improvise.

The nature of the role means that the successful applicant will need to be a skilled manager of people and able to engage with a number of stake holders at all levels of the business from senior management and clients to contractors and all staff throughout the site.  As a result we are looking for someone with experience of running a similar facility, who is suitably qualified in health & safety management and flexible in their outlook and attitude. They will live locally as they need to be able to respond to emergency and business continuity situations as they arise. If they do not already reside locally they will be expected to relocate (some relocation expenses are available) within six months of appointment.  They will also need to be able to drive and have their own transport due to our rural location.
